What We Do
Main Business
CIFC actively builds networks with experts in financial companies, regulatory authorities and international organizations by hosting forums, seminars, and invitational training programs known as Knowledge Exchange Initiatives. In additions, CIFC supports global financial cooperation by regularly publishing online newsletters and e-mail service featuring the latest financial issues, interviews with global partner institutions, in-depth op-eds about members and columns by financial cooperation experts.

International Financial Cooperation Forum
The International Financial Cooperation Forum (IFCF) is jointly hosted by Korean Financial Services Commission and CIFC. The IFCF is hosted annually to bring together financial leaders from around the world to share insights and experiences to broaden the understanding of the changing financial environment and deepen global financial cooperation. The IFCF is a 4-day long program which consists of a Welcome Dinner, one-day forum, a meeting with the counterpart institution and cultural exploration.

Bilateral Financial Cooperation Forum
CIFC co-hosts Bilateral Financial Cooperation Forums with its partner country’s financial regulatory authorities to broaden the understanding of each country’s financial environment and deepen bilateral financial cooperation. In general, the forum is hosted in the co-host partner country and is sometimes organized in collaboration with international organizations and other multi-national financial institutions.

Knowledge Exchange Initiative
The Knowledge Exchange Initiative (KEI) is an invitational capacity building program which consists of a financial cooperation seminar, networking events and various study visits to relevant financial institutions in Korea. The program aims to deepen the financial relationship among the two countries by understanding both countries’ financial industries and policy directions.

Visiting Professionals Program (ViPP)
This eight-week joint research program provides public officials and policymakers with a platform for knowledge exchange with their Korean counterparts. Participants will collaborate with experts from CIFC member institutions, engage in policy discussions, visit leading financial institutions, and produce research papers.

Invitational Seminar
CIFC regularly hosts Invitational Seminars to examine the current trends and policy changes in global financial market and to explore opportunities for future cooperation. CIFC invites various financial experts from global financial companies, financial authorities, international organizations and Foreign Missions in the Republic of Korea.

Publications
CIFC publishes Annual Reports each year and regularly sends out Newsletters and E-mail Service featuring the latest financial cooperation issues, interviews with global partner institutions, in-depth op-eds about members and columns by financial cooperation experts.

Research Projects
CIFC carries out research projects to provide expert analysis and the latest trends on financial policy, financial systems and environment of a country of interest. The research outcomes are only available to CIFC members.
